Most years we arrange a short holiday which visits National Trust properties but also other places of interest. In past years our Tours have been to Dorset, the Lake District, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Cheshire, North Wales, Devon and Cornwall, Kent and Sussex, East Anglia and Northern Ireland. The Tour is the highlight of our year and is always well supported.
SHREWSBURY – ANNUAL SUMMER TOUR 2027
SUNDAY MAY 9TH-13TH
We will be staying in the centre of historic Shrewsbury in the Prince Rupert Hotel, an amazing building dating back to the 14th 15th and 16th centuries, and giving easy access to local exploration on foot.
Many visits are in the advanced planning stages and will include a boat ride along the almost circular part of the Severn to get an early flavour of the town.
We hope to visit several NT properties including Whitewick an outstanding Arts and Crafts House, Ironbridge- recently adopted by the Trust with some museums still being refurbished, Attingham and Carding Mill
There will be opportunities to opt in or out of various activities such as Cosford Air Museum and Shrewsbury Prison
On one day we intend to visit the small and magical Stokesay castle an English Heritage property when en route to Ludlow where we will have a tour of the impressive castle which rises spectacularly above the river Teme
The single supplement is more manageable this year.
As our visit costs have yet to be finalised, we are quoting a guide price.
The final price will not differ by much and will be announced later this year.
