Monday 20th April 2026

After weeks of cold, wind and rain, we were treated to a glorious day for this event. Everyone arrived for coffee which we were able to have outside. There were people who had never been to Hilton before and some not for a very long time. Others were repeating a lovely walk through the woods with bluebells and pink campion and down to the water. Sometimes sitting in contemplation or meeting up with old friends.

We were allowed to visit the private garden and sit in the covered retreat to see the view.  Then we had a good lunch and said our goodbyes.

Just before I left, I heard a cuckoo! First time for about 20 years  – magical!
